We are thrilled that work on our mural project has commenced, with superb Halifax-based artist, Dan Hawdon, already making a start on the base colours…
We have received some fantastic local support by way of a paint sponsorship from Crown Decorating Centre in Bradford, and we are working closely with the Bradford City of Culture Team and the City Council to help spread the word.
But we’d really welcome some extra support with a few things…
Donations
We’ve launched a crowdfunding page to help cover the cost of the mural. Donations of any size would be hugely appreciated. The names of all contributors will be embedded within the mural itself.
Sharing Our Story
Sharing our story with your family, friends and colleagues will help us get our story out there. We will keep everyone posted on the mural’s progress via our social media, so please follow us on Instagram and Facebook, if you haven’t already. We’re also re-launching our newsletter in the not too distant future, so watch this space!
Painting
Dan is asking for help from local people to paint the base colours on the wall, ahead of painting the portraits. Those interested in helping can contact us directly or get in touch via our social media.
The illustration shown below is a mock-up but provides an insight into what Dan will be creating.
Thank you for your support to get Dudley Hill back on the map for arts and culture. We have lots of exciting things planned for 2022.
