                Our core values:

We are proud to provide a premium venue, inviting premier and emerging performers to the stage for the entertainment of our valued customers.

If you are planning an event or looking for a meeting room, come and have a look at Tapestry Arts in Bradford.

Tapestry Arts is a real chameleon: a live music venue, a comedy club, an intimate theatre, a nightclub, a café, a restaurant, a business meeting and corporate event space, a cinema, a wedding and engagement venue, and a function room for all kinds of private events and celebrations.

In fact, we can be whatever we are asked to be and are proud of our ability to make things happen.

“If we can’t do it, it can’t be done!”

Our philosophy is that people appreciate a relaxed, warm and welcoming atmosphere, with a strong emphasis on customer experience, regardless of what our venue is being used for.

Post lockdown and the challenges of the last couple of years, we have emerged as a great solution for events space and function room hire, hosting our first wedding, milestone birthday parties, business seminars and now letting out spaces that include dance studios with sprung floors, office solutions, studio workshops and music teaching rooms

We have extensive in-house facilities from staging and a world class sound and lighting system, through to complete commercial kitchen facilities and a comprehensive bar. We can also provide live entertainment, DJs and a full catering service.

Our passionate hospitality, technical and event staff have a wealth of experience and skills to provide support, a great vibe and a smoothly run event and experience.

Please help us spread the word about our bespoke events packages.

Get in touch to discuss your requirements and let us help you make your event a success.

Our mural is starting to take shape.

Those who have managed to visit over recent weeks will have seen the exciting progress made by @danhawdon during the winter months.

Thank you so much to those kind folks who have supported us financially via our Crowdfunder page. Donations are still very welcome and provide an opportunity to have your name included on the wall itself.

When completed, our Wall of Culture mural will be the largest in West Yorkshire.

Here’s some super cool drone footage showing the progress…

Tapestry Arts is the perfect venue for hosting private events and celebrations, and during the 2021 lockdown we began to receive an increase in enquiries, including one from the lovely Nicola and Nigel, looking for the right place to host their autumn wedding.

In a first for us, we were thrilled to be able to provide what they were looking for: a wonderful atmospheric day, full of laughter, joy, music, great food, fabulous people and lots of drink. Nicola kindly provided us some feedback on their special day…

“We wanted somewhere completely different for our wedding reception – informal, without white and somewhere to incorporate our love of music.

The very first time we met Jason and he showed us around Tapestry, we knew it was the perfect venue. The space was more than adequate to accommodate our 80 guests, we liked the fact that the stage made an ideal top table, loved the venue’s lighting effects and the whole decor of the room was amazing. Most importantly the feel of the venue was magical and suited our alternative style to perfection.

We had several meetings with Jason leading up to the big day. He took us through menu and drinks choices, organised a DJ and magician for us, and helped with the seating plan. He also took time to go through the finer details such as what lighting we wanted, the background music, how the tables were to be dressed and the timings. Totally thorough and professional.

On the day, everything flowed perfectly, from arrival drinks to the most amazing choice of hot food and the Jägerbomb toast!

All our guests commented that they had never been to such an alternative reception before and loved the feel of the place as much as we did. We ate, drank and danced the night away and didn’t have a single complaint from anyone.

We wouldn’t have changed a single thing about the day and cannot recommend Jason and his team highly enough.

Thank you so much for helping make such a memorable day.”

As we come to the end of another rollercoaster of a year, we wanted to send a note to thank you for your fantastic support for our special little venue in Bradford.

We can’t pretend that it hasn’t at times been a struggle for the team, and we have had to dig deep to stay positive. However it is the encouragement and feedback we receive that strengthens our resolve to keep going…

We firmly believe that the community wants and appreciates a relaxed space with a warm and welcoming atmosphere hosting a variety of interesting events, delivered with a strong emphasis on customer experience and the provision of homemade food and a comprehensive selection of drinks, all served with love and a smile.

However, it can’t be done without your help and we would please encourage you to keep spreading the word to friends, associates and lovers of live performance in order that we can provide Bradford with a programme of fabulous events in 2022.

We will be sending out a newsletter in the new year which will include an update on the exciting progress of our mural and our plans for the year.

In the meantime, please keep checking in to our social pages, enjoy the holidays, stay safe and see you on the other side. And remember – “those who know, go!”

Bradford’s best kept secret is gradually getting out.

Here’s a selection of the many online reviews we have been delighted to receive:

We are thrilled that work on our mural project has commenced, with superb Halifax-based artist, Dan Hawdon, already making a start on the base colours…

We have received some fantastic local support by way of a paint sponsorship from Crown Decorating Centre in Bradford, and we are working closely with the Bradford City of Culture Team and the City Council to help spread the word.

But we’d really welcome some extra support with a few things…

                Donations

We’ve launched a crowdfunding page to help cover the cost of the mural. Donations of any size would be hugely appreciated. The names of all contributors will be embedded within the mural itself.

                Sharing Our Story

Sharing our story with your family, friends and colleagues will help us get our story out there. We will keep everyone posted on the mural’s progress via our social media, so please follow us on Instagram and Facebook, if you haven’t already. We’re also re-launching our newsletter in the not too distant future, so watch this space!

                Painting

Dan is asking for help from local people to paint the base colours on the wall, ahead of painting the portraits. Those interested in helping can contact us directly or get in touch via our social media.

The illustration shown below is a mock-up but provides an insight into what Dan will be creating.

Thank you for your support to get Dudley Hill back on the map for arts and culture. We have lots of exciting things planned for 2022.

                Mock-up of the final design

In our continuing effort to transform and reshape Factory Street, a flytipper’s paradise industrial street in South Bradford, we have launched an idea to create a striking mural on a wall overlooking the car park.

The wall forms the rear of units owned by two different people, who have both given their full backing and support to the project.

We believe it will be a great addition to the Bradford City of Culture 2025 bid and change Factory Street for the better. Next year, we may even be able to host a summer street festival along with other new community-led projects.

It will add a great theme to our arts complex which is now home to a 275-capacity, purpose-built venue, a café, recording studios, arts spaces and a tattoo artist. We are also looking into the possible addition of a vintage arcade games room.

We have found the right artist, Halifax-based Dan Hawdon, who has already started work on the base colours. We have also launched a crowdfunding page where donations to help make the project happen will be very welcome.

We’ve included a mock-up of the final design above so you can see how it should look when Dan has finished.

We are super chuffed to be part of the fantastic Bradford is #LiT festival – a celebration of light across Bradford this November.

Bradford Council, in partnership with Bradford BID and Bradford 2025, are presenting a district-wide festival of light which will culminate on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 November 2021 in Bradford city centre.

Working with a select group of local and national artists, the festival will bring Bradford to life with an outstanding programme of unique light installations. Our inclusion – Tapestry of Light – is live until 8 November and pays homage to Bradford’s past glories and future success by illuminating our iconic red brick chimney that was once a mill and is now home to our wonderful venue on Factory Street.

Every evening, the chimney is transformed into a giant piece of art, using modern day lighting technology to project a radiant palette of colour and movement onto our historic building.
