Fury plus very special guests Wicked Smile (Aus) & Cassidy Paris (Aus) will be performing at Tapestry Arts on Saturday 18th November 2023

Fury

Fury are a Heavy Metal band from the West Midlands, UK. Their love of the old school metal of Iron Maiden and Metallica are clear, but the rich and soulful voice of Julian Jenkins sets the band apart from the rest. Songs with clear purpose and strong visuals will transport you to another time, another reality, or another universe… Fury are known to create passionate and dynamic live shows, able to capture the spirit of music fans all over.

With three previous albums ‘The Lightning Dream’ (2014), ‘Lost In Space’ (2016) and ‘The Grand Prize’ (2020), the band return to the live arena with a thrilling and raucous new album ‘Born To Sin’ (released March 2022). The new chapter is stronger than ever with the line up featuring bassist Becky Baldwin (Mercyful Fate live 2022 & Hands off Gretel) the thunderous Tom Fenn (Torous, Brassick) on drums, Tom Atkinson (Vice, ex-Absolva) on guitar and the powerhouse Nyah Ifill on co-lead vocals. With the live music scene back in stride, Fury have taken their two new albums and a lot of pent up energy back on the road for a very exciting ‘Back From Hell’ tour!

Fury have appeared on stage across the UK and Europe, grabbing sets at iconic festivals such as Download (UK), Bloodstock (UK), Urrock (CH), Rising Fest (FR), Call of the Wild (UK), Maid of Stone Festival (UK), British Steel Festival (FR) and many more!

Wicked Smile (AUS)

Australia’s Wicked Smile are all about bringing back fist pumping heavy rock to the forefront. The boys released one of the albums of the year in 2021; a collection of ten ‘killer songs’, produced by Paul Laine (The Defiants) and mastered by Bruno Ravel (The Defiants/Danger Danger).

Guitarist Stevie Janevski goes on to say, “we’re a five-piece kick ass heavy rock band and I think we made our presence known with the release of our debut album Wait For The Night”.

Wicked Smile is fronted by charismatic powerhouse lead vocalist Danny Cecati (ex Pegazus & Eyefear) with Stevie Janevski (ex Black Majesty & Cyclone Tracy) & Dave Graham (EX In Malice’s Wake) on guitars, Tom Nugara (Envenomed) on bass & Gavin Hill (White Widdow) on drums.

Lyrically, ‘Wait for the Night’ explores current issues within society such as civil unrest, bullying and mental health. Songs like We Fall, Sign Of Times, Daze Of Delirium, Stronger, Last Goodbye & Don’t Wait For Me are all thought provoking and not the cliché lyrics that you’d expect for this style of heavy rock.

Wicked Smile has been overwhelmed by the positive response from the underground rock and metal community. Steve Price at ARfm radio called the band “kickass Australian rock with killer vocals”.

Fans of Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Dio and Skid Row should feel at home, with the band drawing major influence from seventies and eighties heavy rock and heavy metal.

The boys will tour the United Kingdom for the second time in one year with dates to be announced in November and December 2023, where they will also perform at renowned festivals such as Winter Storm & Planet Rockstock.

Yep, these boys are the ‘real deal’.

Cassidy Paris (AUS)

Australian rock chick Cassidy Paris has a very bright future ahead of her. So far, Cassidy has released two sold out eps – BROKEN HEARTED & FLIRT, whilst having performed multiple live shows all over her home country of Australia.

Cassidy’s music is 80s influenced rock with a modern twist.  At just 20yo, Cassidy is currently working on her full length debut album with an internationally renowned label t.b.a. shortly.

Raised on classic hard rock and inspired by female rockers such as Lzzy Hale, Joan Jett, Pink, Pat Benatar & Avril Lavigne, the fiercely determined teenager is on a mission to inspire a new generation of younger fans to not only listen to Rock ‘n’ Roll, but pick up a guitar instead of a phone.

At the age of 11, Cassidy met singer songwriter Paul Laine (ex Danger Danger, The Defiants), who developed a unique mentoring role. Paul took Cassidy under his wing to help develop Cassidy as an artist and songwriter, collaborating with her in songwriting and producing her music.

From early on, Cassidy has wanted to deliver a strong message through her music. In 2018, she released the song ‘Stand’, a heartfelt song about ‘standing up for yourself’ as a young woman. Cassidy continues to deliver that message, promoting anti-bullying through performances at many schools around Melbourne, Australia and is an active campaigner for the worldwide ‘Metalheads Against Bullying’ organisation.

Cassidy has built up a strong connection with her growing worldwide fanbase that has already seen her perform in America, U.K. and Japan. She was also invited twice onto the line-up of the New Wave of Classic Rock WebFest.

Her talents have not gone unnoticed by one of the major guitar giants Fender, lending their support by joining forces with Cassidy to bring her on as an endorsee of Fender Squier Guitars. Cassidy has also joined the roster of Silverback Touring Agency.

Further to this, Cassidy has been acknowledged as a semi-finalist for her song writing efforts in the International Songwritng Competition (ISC) for Best Rock Song and Best Unsigned Artist.

2022 saw Cassidy tour Australia with the likes of support shows with John Corabi & H.E.A.T with a month long upcoming U.K. Tour in November.

Cassidy will tour the U.K. for a second time in November & December of 2023, where she will perform several festival and club dates.

Cassidy Paris = the next generation of ROCK.
