Jon Pearson

Jon began stand up comedy in 2010, with his first performance at Birmingham’s Highlight Comedy Club. Cut to nine years later and Jon has become a regular face on the circuit, performing at prestigious clubs such as The Glee, The Boat Show, Up The Creek, Last Laugh, Laughterhouse. Jon’s career has even taken him overseas with performances in Spain, Norway and even as far away as Wigan (it is like being on another planet).

Jon is also a familiar face on at comedy festivals across the UK having taken three solo shows to the Leicester, Nottingham & Edinburgh festivals with the highlight of the all coming in the form of a sold out show at his home town Melton Theatre in Melton Mowbray.

Jon has also provided tour support for Darren Harriot on his UK 2018/2019 tour and Lucy Porter on her UK 2017 tour

Jon’s laid back storytelling has audiences hanging on his every word. With tales based around his own life experiences, his anecdotes are relatable and certain to have people in hysterics.

Edinburgh comedian Gareth Waugh has been described as “One of the fastest rising stars of the Scottish comedy circuit” by the BBC.  Starting comedy in 2010 he has twice been a finalist in Scottish Comedian of the Year and appeared on several Radio 4 programmes including Jo Caulfield’s SpeakeasyRadio 4 Stands UpThe John Moloney Show and more.

In the 1980s Mick co-hosted his own Saturday evening show on ITV called The Funny Side along with Cheryl Baker and the late Mike Smith.

Joe McTernon – Headline

With almost 40 million online streams Joe McTernan is a Edinburgh based comedian and has toured with Tom Stade and Steve Hughes (2021). His energetic and personal style has gained him bookings at many gigs across Scotland.

Joe has performed on BBC Scotland’s Television show ‘The Comedy Underground’, starred and co wrote (Scottish Comedy Award winning) the online sitcom M.U.F.F alongside Daniel Sloss, and has also written and performed in content for BBC Short Stuff.

Anthony J Brown – Opener

Clad in a sartorially edifying bespoke manner, like a dapper and dandy funeral director, Anthony cuts a unique on-stage presence with humour blacker than a raven that has slammed it’s claw in a coffin lid.

Eschewing the well trodden terrain of the one-liner witticism, Mr Brown’s penchant is for 4, 5, 6 and 7-liners drenched in evocative imagery and laced with comedic red herrings. And not the merest hint of profanity.

He constantly engages the assembled throng with a cryogenic stare whilst slowly and very gently caressing the microphone stand with well manicured talons.

To be quite so casually tactile with an inanimate object in full public view takes a certain confidence, especially whilst punctuating his bizarre and often hilariously misanthropic anecdotes with measured pauses that you could reverse a Heavy Goods Vehicle through.

The overall effect is both perversely hypnotic and wholly original, leaving the audience zealously hanging on to every syllable like turncoat lemmings on a rockface.

He appears at all the major UK venues.

Jongleurs/Metro ‘Stand & Deliver’ Comedy Award Winner and former BBC New Comedy Award Runner-Up.

Appeared on Channel 4′s “Phoenix Nights”, ITV’s “Attitude” and “Spanking New” on BBC7.

Thomas Henry – Middle

Thomas has been entertaining crowds in London and New York with his wry observations and cheeky charm. Official selection for the New York Comedy Festival and winner of Broadway Comedy ‘New Faces’, he’s one to watch on the UK comedy scene.

Chris Lumb – MC

Stan Boardman is best associated with his German’s jokes and his success on the hit ITV show The Comedians.  In more recent years he’s dissappeared off our screens after causing outrage on the Des O’ Connor Show.

However he’s still going strong, playing to sell out crowds in a variety of venues.

Stan Boardman was born in Liverpool on 7th December 1940.  When he was  a young child, during World War 2, Stan and his family were evacuated to Wrexham.  On returning to their Merseyside home, thinking they had escaped the worst of the bombing, tragedy struck when Stan;’s older brother Tommy was killed in a bombing raid.

Moving onto 1967 Stan married Vivienne Brennan, they are still married and have two children Paul and Andrea who are twins and three grandchildren.

His first brush with stand up came whilst he and his family were on holiday at a Butlin’s holiday camp.  They persuaded him to enter the weekly talent competition; just for fun.  Reluctantly agreeing, Stan got up, entertaining a full house with a barrage of jokes.  He won first prize.

Little did he know that that talent contest was  one heat, in a much larger national competition.  Stan,  gained in confidence with every appearance, progressing through each stage to secure a place in the Grand Final at the London Palladium. It was here that his distinctive style of comedy and his original material helped him walk off with the £1,000 first prize, a summer season engagement and the title ‘Star Act Of The Year’.

Next step Television and an appearance on Opportunity Knocks topping the poll with the studio audience.  He was invited back to appear on the program’s Gala Show and for the Opportunity Knocks Variety Awards Shows.  Stan was now a television must have and so it was no surprise when he was asked to take over as host of Southern Television’s popular children’s series Runaround.  Stan followed Leslie Crowther and fellow comedian Mike Reid.

Stan featured in the later series of The Comedians alongside Roy Walker and Mick Miller.  Just as Charlie Williams and Ken Goodwin had become two of the stand out names from the first series Stan Boardman became one of the stand out names in the later series.  After making his debut he was invited back for a second series.

Since the success of The Comedians Stan has appeared made many television appearances, the most notable of which was Des O’ Connor Tonight when his “Fockers” jike saw him disappear from our TV screens for a while.  He’s played to packed theatres and other venues all round the world since that first appearance on The Comedians and in 2011 returned to Blackpool with other surviving members of The Comedians for a 40th Anniversary Show hosted by the man who started it all Johnnie Hamp.

!!TRIPLE HEADLINER SHOW!!

Kevin Daniel – Originally from Glasgow, he has spent his working life in the corporate world of low finance and recently decided to venture into the realms of stand up comedy. Despite only starting to perform comedy in June of 2019, Kevin has already been nominated for Best Newcomer at the Midlands Comedy Awards and a finalists in numerous New Comedian Competitions (he’s yet to actually win one though).

His warm and honest storytelling style deals with the daily trials and tribulations of a man trying to survive life unscathed. You can keep up with and follow his comedy journey using the links below

“Kevin is probably one of the hottest properties on the Midlands circuit right now. Having started only a few years ago he’s stormed his way onto the upper echelons of the circuit with his outrageous storytelling techniques that will leave you wanting more” Doorstep Comedy (Adam O’Reardon)

“I’d heard great things about Kevin before I booked him and he didn’t disappoint. A hilarious new act with all the confidence and assurance of an act with years of experience. A great fit for any line up” Giggleshack (Colin Havey)

Pete Selwood – A hotly tipped up and coming comedian on the circuit, Yorkshire born-and-bred comedian Pete Selwood has quickly risen through the comedy ranks with his excellent storytelling style, that mixes hilarious observational material with killer punchlines.

In his short time on the comedy scene he has already won the Liverpool Echo New Comedian Of The Year 2016, Hot Water New Comedian Of The Year 2016 and the Laurence Batley New Yorkshire Comedian Of The Year 2017.

He was also a finalist in Hilarity Bites in both 2016 and 2017.

The Barnsley born Yorkshireman is an adept storyteller, focussing on tales of Northern life as a perpetually single man in his 20s. Being born with only one hand also gives him a unique view and experience of the world around him, poking fun at having a fairly minor disability in modern Britain.

In keeping with his material about disability, Pete is also half of a double-act with Britain’s Got Talent star Jack Carroll, performing sketches and creating videos about the portrayal of disability within our society.

Julien Lee – The range of one-liners Lee shoots out range from intelligent to well crafted to just plain daft. However, wherever they land on that spectrum, they are funny. Having featured in the BBC New Comedy Awards in 2015 and Radio 4’s Ross Noble’s Newcastle in 2016 he then went on to be runner-up in Leicester Comedy Festival’s UK Pun Championships in 2017 & 2018.  In 2018 he took his first solo show, Jokebox, to Edinburgh.  During Lockdown he published his first joke book, also called Jokebox, which has sold well.

Nick Doody – has been performing comedy since the 90s when, as a student, he got off to a pretty good start by supporting the legendary Bill Hicks, at Bill’s request. A little later, Nick was a finalist in Channel 4’s So You Think You’re Funny? competition.

If you’re the bastard who stole the big poster, he hopes it haunts your dreams.

Opening Act

Eddie Fortune – is a Liverpool based comic described as a comedic tornado, talking about the woes of dating, work life and the need to stay in shape, he occasionally mistakes himself as a Julia Roberts from pretty woman. Displaying a contradictory self deprecating confidence, and heckling the audience with beautiful compliments, Eddie is also a Theatre Producer for Crumbs Theatre, Liverpool.

Middle Act

Jim Bayes – Endearing and likeable performer Jim Bayes is a frustrated Yorkshire man with the ability to make excellent and thoughtful observations as well as having an eye for the silly.
